Enrollment, Registration, and Transfers

Please call us at (951)778-5300 if you have questions about the enrollment or transfer process. You can also add your name to our interest list and we can help facilitate the process.

Please visit the RUSD transfer website for the most accurate and up-to-date information about completing a transfer.

If you are new to RUSD and would like to enroll in Riverside Virtual School:

If you live in RUSD boundaries:

Go to your "home" school to complete New Student Registration forms and verify proof of residency. Click here to locate your "home" school.
Complete a Transfer Application. For "School Requested 1st Choice" write "Riverside Virtual School" or "RVS".
After notification of transfer approval, someone will contact you to finalize registration.

If you live outside RUSD boundaries:

Between 11/1 - 1/6, complete this application to transfer to RVS for the 2024-25 school year.

For the 2023-24 school year:

Please contact your "home district" and request a Release for Inter-District Transfer.
Bring the signed Release to the RUSD Pupil Services Office located at 5700 Arlington Ave. Riverside, CA 92504
After notification of transfer approval from RUSD Pupil Services, someone will contact you to complete New Student Registration forms.

If you are already an RUSD student and would like to transfer to RVS:

Please complete either the 2023-24 Transfer Application or for next school year complete the 2024-25 Transfer Application.
For "School Requested 1st Choice" write "Riverside Virtual School" or "RVS".

For the 2024-25 school year,

If you are already an RVS student and would like to transfer to another school:
