We are thrilled to announce that Riverside Virtual School (RVS) has been awarded the

2025 CA PBIS Recognition - Silver Level!

This prestigious recognition from the California Department of Education and the California PBIS Coalition honors our school's commitment to implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) with fidelity. Earning the Silver Level means we have successfully established a robust, school-wide system that fosters a positive and proactive school culture.

To achieve this recognition, RVS demonstrated our dedication to using data-driven practices to support student behavior. This includes:

  • Establishing clear behavioral expectations.

  • Teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors.

  • Using data to identify trends and make informed decisions.

California Distinguished Schools Award

Awarded 2019

A component of the California Department of Education (CDE) California School Recognition Program (CSRP), the California Distinguished Schools Program was established by the CDE in 1985 and recognizes schools that demonstrate exemplary achievements. The California Distinguished Schools Program recognizes elementary and middle and high schools in alternate years. Schools recognized as a California Distinguished Schools hold the title for two years.
